Psychotherapy for Adults and Couples
There are mental and physical health benefits associated with being in a happy relationship. When we feel secure and connected with our partner, our energies, intelligence, motivation, and concentration are available for living fully. When we feel insecure and disconnected in our partnership, those same resources are siphoned off for protecting ourselves. Feeling connected vs. feeling disconnected in our primary relationship is the difference between thriving and merely surviving. This effects all areas of our life and well being.
If you and your partner are feeling undervalued, misunderstood, unseen, disliked, or lonely, couples' therapy can help you learn how to reconnect and how to finally stop the blame game. One of the goals of my work with couples is to help you become allies vs. enemies; to help you become experts on each other, and to be in each other's care. Being in a happy secure relationship can be a source of comfort, excitement and fulfillment. I am passionate about helping couples repair and renew their connection.
I am a PACT Level Il clinician (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy), with advanced training in Sexuality and Infidelity. PACT is a powerful approach that blends developmental neuroscience, attachment theory, and arousal regulation to help couples heal old injuries, and develop and maintain secure bonds. I have also studied and trained in EFT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy).
